1. Bolsa CHED

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is an agency attached to the Office of the President for administrative purposes. Its creation was part of a broader reform agenda in the country's education system outlined by the Congressional Education Commission (EDCOM) in 1992. Part of the reforms was the education sector's tri-focusing on three government agencies: the CHED for higher and undergraduate education, the Department of Education (DepEd) for basic education, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for vocational and secondary education.

CHED has received a commitment from the national government to provide transformative leadership that uses education as a core strategy for investing in the Filipino people, reducing poverty and developing national competitiveness and in compliance with Republic Act 7722.

In accordance with its mission and mandate, CHED has established projects and programs called Student Financial Assistance Programs (StuFAP) to provide quality higher education opportunities to poor and deserving Filipinos as outlined in the provisions of its Access and Equity Long-Term Development Plan with the Establishing and maintaining scholarship, grant and loan programs.

The CHED scholarship requirements are as follows:

The Department of Science and Technology of the Republic of the Philippines (DOST) offers undergraduate and graduate scholarships for undergraduate students

    • Undergraduate Science and Technology Scholarships: Aims to encourage and attract talented young Filipinos to pursue productive lifelong careers in Science and Technology, and to ensure an adequate and stable supply of qualified Science and Technology human resources to advance them to the bring country to national progress.

There are two types of undergraduate science and engineering scholarships:

• • • • RA 7687: Republic Act No. 7687, also known as the Science and Technology Scholarship Act of 1994, provides scholarships to gifted and deserving students whose family socioeconomic level does not exceed set thresholds for certain indicators. Qualifiers must pursue priority areas of study in basic sciences, engineering, other applied sciences, and science and mathematics education.
      • Merit: The DOST-SEI Merit Scholarship Program, formerly known as the NSDB or NSTA Scholarship under RA #2067, is awarded to students with high aptitude in science and mathematics who are pursuing a career in science and technology.

• • • Junior Science Scholarships: Offers scholarships that fund the education of talented and deserving undergraduate students in their freshman year in science and technology. The types of junior level scholarships are:
      • RA 10612: Republic Act No. 10612 aims to strengthen science and technology education in the country through science, math and engineering graduates who are required to teach science and math in secondary schools across the country.
      • RA 7687: Republic Law No. 7687, also known as the Science and Technology Scholarships Act of 1994, awards scholarships to talented and deserving students whose family socioeconomic level does not exceed established thresholds for certain indicators. ASTHRDP-NSC scholarship benefits include tuition and other tuition, monthly stipends, book allowance, group health and accident insurance, transportation (for those studying outside of home province), thesis/dissertation allowance, and student research support. Scholarships for the remaining months of the scholarship period will be awarded to the scholarship recipient who completes the course before the end of the standard period of study.
    • Science and Mathematics Training Program (CBPSME): for masters and doctoral degrees in science and mathematics education. The program aims to improve the quality of education and accelerate the development of a critical mass of specialists in science and mathematics education. CBPSME scholarship benefits include tuition, other tuition, monthly stipends, book allowance, group health and accident insurance, transportation (for those studying outside of their home province), and a thesis/dissertation scholarship.
    • Engineering Research and Development for Technology (ERDT) – Provides scholarships for masters and doctoral degrees in various engineering disciplines to conduct effective research, enhance the skills of practicing engineers, and develop a culture of research and development. ERDT grants include tuition and other tuition, monthly stipends, book allowance, transportation (for those studying outside of home province), thesis/dissertation grant, and research support funds.
    • Graduate Scholarships Program Abroad: aims to provide masters and doctoral degrees in major areas with specialization in science and technology, to build a group of high-quality human resources in science and technology, contributing to the country's global competitiveness and economic development. The program offers talented and deserving students the opportunity to pursue masters and doctoral degrees in science and engineering at accredited institutions abroad. The program also aims to improve the country's research and technological innovation capabilities in the field of advanced sciences and new technologies. Scholarships for graduates abroad include actual study and other study costs, monthly flat-rate living expenses, flat-rate books, health and accident insurance, diploma thesis/dissertation flat-rate, pre-travel costs, a cheap return trip from home to the place of study (only once in the entire study period) and reintegration allowance .

3. LANI bag

The Lifeline Assistance for Neighbors In-need (LANI) scholarship program was set up to improve the quantity and quality of graduates in the city of Taguig, particularly college graduates. Candidates for this scholarship must meet the following basic eligibility criteria:

• • bona fide resident of the city of Taguig for at least 3 years immediately preceding the application. You must be a registered voter in the city if you are 18 years of age or older and at least one parent is also a registered voter in the city.

  • Service Group: Support talented students who embody the core values ​​of Strength, Excellence and Integrity and help advance the university through sports, arts and culture.
  • Third-party funded scholarships: Third-party funded scholarships are not included in the FEU scholarship budget.

6. Aboitiz grant and financial support

The Aboitiz Foundation provides scholarships and financial support to students at all levels who excel academically but are unable to complete their studies financially. College students are encouraged to take courses that will give them the best chance of employment with Grupo Aboitiz upon graduation. These courses include accounting, economics, psychology and engineering. The foundation supports academics at the pre-school, elementary, middle and university levels.

  • Andrew Gonzalez Academic Scholarship – For high school students who have placed in the top 1 (highest honors) in each stream (STEM, ABM, and HUMMS) of La Salle District schools and passed the entrance exam.
  • La Salle Financial Aid Scholarship – For Filipino students who meet certain eligibility criteria. Selection is based on financial need and academic ability.
  • Brother President Scholarship Program (BPSP): Awarded to the legitimate or legally adopted children of married, permanent, full-time faculty and administrative service employees who entered DLSU on or after May 1987 and have at least 3 years of university service and attendance active university service utilizing the scholarship.
  • Centennial Scholarship Program (CSP): For eligible children of full-time professors (faculty and academic service) and administrative staff (ASP) of the university.
  • Children of Teachers Scholarship (SCF): For eligible children of full-time, part-time, and retired teachers who entered DLSU before May 1987.
  • Scholarship for Children of Co-Academics (SCC): For members of university co-academics.
  • Military Scholarship (PD 577): For dependents of military personnel who died or were disabled in the line of duty.
