Some players require a more "heavy" approach.
For this purpose there is aatumoptions in Dark Souls 3!
Thanks to the injection system, almost any weapon can become viable for powerup if given a heavy bead.
But of course there are some tools that are made just for the job.
Join me today as we go over a number of the most viable options for all you Dark Souls Chads out there!
20.The great hammer of smough
One half of the most famous boss fighting duo of all time, Smough's hammer is a returning weapon from the first Dark Souls.
Often used comically thanks to its obscene size, the hammer has high damage, persistence, and a passive that restores HP on attack!
unfortunately it isReallyslow and doesn't see much practical use in PvP matches outside of memes.
How do you get:In a chest on the second floor of the painting in Irithyll.
Essentially a rock on a stick - the Quakestone Hammer is perfect for players who want a littlestrengthin their cots.
Its unique weapon ability, 'earthquake', causes you to slam a boulder into the ground with a mighty thud, then rip it out of the ground in a catastrophic shockwave.
The shockwave can also be delayed to catch players off guard!
How do you get:In the harsh wastes of the painted world, guarded by a red-eyed knight.
18.Large ax dragon slayer
The heaviest of all great axes, the Dragon Slayer is imbued with lightning, deals devastating damage, and has a small faith increase.
It's good for building power/wonder and deals a lot of damage - 2 shots on most enemies and players until late game.
Its unique "falling spear" ability is also suitably flashy and awesome, although it's quite difficult to land thanks to the coil on it.
How do you get:Soul Transfer med Dragon Slayer Armor Soul.
17.Large Machete of Yhorm
The longest greataxe this time, and the strongest of themvery highnumber of physical damage across the game, Yhorm's is a strong contender.
His combat abilities increase his attack and allow a unique heavy move reminiscent of Yhorm himself.
These moves have a much shorter range, but deliver extremely frustrating shockwaves that stun your enemies.
However, it's at the bottom of the list because it doesn't have a guaranteed 2-hit combo like most other heavy weapons.
How do you get:Soul transfer with Jorm's soul.
I'm a little biased on that one, thanks to his underdog history.
In the DS3 release version, the greatspear was kind of bad - low damage, slow movement, and no balance in its attacks.
But now, after several patches, he is much faster, much more damaging and has good balance in his strikes!
Speaking of which, it isatpush damage and I love my leoring combos.
Overall, it's an excellent, methodical weapon with massive scaling that rewards a thoughtful and planned approach to combat.
How do you get:Found near the beginning of Lothric Castle, before the Dragon's Bridge.
Crafted from an unbreakable dragon, this magnificent hammer is a relic of the knight Havel from Dark Souls 1.
Dragon's Tooth is slow and easy to get around, but is great for panning enemies on the ground and is very rewarding when a hit lands.
Its use goes beyond weapons as it grants an innate 12.5% increase in magic and fire damage when used!
How do you get:Havel landed on top of the arch dragon.
14.Human Cobra Machado
This weapon gained incredible popularity, especially when players fully realized its potential.
The human reptile is fast, muchlong and extremely spammy.
He hits a big B scale in strength and has the melee weapon skill - with a twist!
After using it, you can deal damage even through blocking shields - like a shot.
While it doesn't challenge the game, it's an interesting tool, great for PvP and gaming in general!
How do you get:Drops of serpent men on top of the arch dragon.
Like the snake moth, the butcher has the same benefits.
Speed, range and very low stamina consumption.
It has a nice passive to restore health with each hit, which can be useful for farm runs!
In exchange for the battle cry, butchers have a unique skill: "sharp", which further increases the passive HP recovery effect.
And while it may have low base damage, it boasts an incredible +10 S Scale Strength!
How do you get:Dropped by the crazy NPC on the sacrifice path.
12.The Great Sword of Exile
An early to mid-game titan, the Exile Greatsword is the weapon of choice for many players.
With the highest damage of any curved greatsword at the cost of the lowest range, the Exile hits almost as fast as a straight sword while still doing incredible damage.
And despite his short reach, he has good arcs to his punches, making it easy to catch players trying to roll or dodge!
How do you get:He fell from exile by staying out of Farron.
11.Black Knight's Sword
The Black Knight's Sword is easily my favorite greatsword, and it has a huge variety of perks that put it at the top of the list.
For starters, the damage is great and the range is pretty good too!
Deals 20% more damage to demonic enemiesedeals additional damage so you can stun enemies much more easily.
It has the standard greatsword's super armor in its attacks, and it still has the persistence of its weapon skill, allowing it to play much more aggressively.
The only downside to this blade is the max C scaling power at +5 which isn't the best but still makes it a great early to mid game weapon!
How do you get:Found on a body in Den Dampende Sø.
10.Black Knight's Greatsword
The larger counterpart to the Black Knight Sword, the BKGS is an enormous super long sword.
It has massive damage and very good range and a much more desirable B scale at +5 strength.
It has the same passives as Black Knight's Sword - 20% damage on demons and more damage on balance.
Thanks to passive balance, this is the most devastating super longsword in the game!
How do you get:Dropped by black knights who keep it to themselves.
9.Ultra Smoke Great Sword
The weapon of choice for one of the toughest bosses in Dark Souls 2 - the smoke knight.
UGS Smoke is an extremely heavy slab of rock and deals massive damage over a wide area.
Requires a giant50 strengthwith one hand, but it has an interesting secondary use.
It's a very effective shield!
It has amazing softening values when blocked with two hands, and the blocking effect extends to your stepping ability - so you can dodge attacks without being penalized as much for it!
It can't be injected, but that's not a problem since it can still fire and reach S-scale strength!
How do you get:Fly past the Tsorig Knight under the steaming lake.
8.Millwood Battle Axe
The mill is easily the best of the one-handed axes.
It has the same bonuses as all axes ie. high damage and speed at a low stamina cost.
However, it gets even better when you look at its weapon skills, which are a direct upgrade to the battlecry found on most axes.
The mill's rampage causes you to spring forward and attack enemies, stunning and pushing them along your path, then increasing the damage.
The stun from this charge is high enough that you can immediately connect in an easy combo and opponents won't be able to escape!
He can also inflate and gain a huge increase in strength at maximum level.
How do you get:Looted from a corpse atop a wooden tower inhabited by archers in the painted DLC world.
The name says it all.
A weapon as effective as it is simple, the great ax is a favorite among power builders thanks to its early presence in the game.
If integrated, it can easily guide you through the entire game.
It deals unholy damage and can further improve your combat ability.
In addition, it can be inflated and injected, which also makes it suitable for hybrid constructions!
He hasextremelylow area though, and having some high strength armor is recommended to remove all faces from this thing.
How do you get:Dropped by the Lost Demon in the elevator next to Pharon's Wolf.
Another beautiful and simple weapon.
Don't let the boring name fool you, the great sword was made for one thing: pure destruction.
And it delivers well.
Tons of upper arm, damage and the longest reach of any UGS.
The Great Sword achieves an A scale of power and is incredible for PvP in all and late games.
It is very similar to the Black Knight Greatsword, only easier to obtain, with slime ability, better range and greater reach, making it a preferred choice in most scenarios.
It's also easier to upgrade since it only requires titanite!
How do you get:Looted from a corpse on top of a broken bridge in Farron.
5.Pair of Knight of the Rings greatswords
One of the newest weapons you can get throughout the game, the RKPGS is not for your first playthrough.
However, it serves pure PvP eradication.
They have insane damage, range and combo potential so you can beat most opponents 100-0 without talking too much.
If you are good at using them.
Its complexity and variety are definitely worth learning, and once you've mastered its moveset, you'll have all sorts of devastating combos at your fingertips!
How do you get:Drops from the ringmarked knight who wears them just before the church cathedral spear in the Ringed City DLC.
4.Split Leaf Great Sword
if you readour list of the best halberds, you'll know how crazy this weapon can be.
Turns out it's ridiculously effective in a power build, reaching the S scale at +10 weight!
The chopper weapon abilities combine in so many ways that you'll have to look up some videos on how to use the moveset effectively.
But once you've mastered it, you'll be completely unstoppable - pummeling enemies with stun combos that leave them completely defenseless.
There is a reason why this weapon is one of the most widely used in PvP.
How do you get:Purchased from the Stone Witch at the start of the Ringed City DLC.
I love that this gun is at the top of the list.
Although the description may read "not intended for combat use", this is onecompletelie.
It does full damage, which means the oil ring fits perfectly.
Additionally, pick attacks will stun enemies, meaning a second hit is guaranteed.econsidered a counter attack!
This allows power builds using the leor ring to easily hit opponents with 2 shots and - combined with its A-scale strength - makes the pickaxe a truly terrifying weapon.
How do you get:Found on a corpse in Irithyll's dungeon near the giant.
2.The big hammer in Ledo
Let's get startedincredibleweapons, Ledo's great hammer would be at the top of the power list if only it were in my hand.
Destroying Earth is awesome when you smash enemies to the ground.
It's incredibly fast, does insane damage, and has an amazing unique ability.
Summoning the boulder causes you to swing your hammer in a shocking 2-hit combo that covers the weapon in boulder and negates the damage for 40 seconds.
Using a charged heavy attack during the buff will cause the rocks to explode, sacrificing the buff for a large burst of AoE damage.
With the highest strength requirement60, only big men can wear this bad boy. But boy, is it worth every point.
How do you get:Dropped by Leto the Silver Knight when he invades the city with the rings.
That's why the best powerful weapon in Dark Souls 3 is... a wand.
But a big bat!
Thanks to its early availability, scale A in strength, striking ability, incredible range, moveset that blocks stun, insane damage, melee abilityehyperarmor, there really is no downside to this weapon.
In fact, it's great in every Souls game and is a consistent fan favorite throughout the series!
While it may lack the flair of some weapons, there's a lot of joy in hitting people with a big club caveman style.
How do you get:He has fallen from the exile that keeps him out of Farron.
